第52回普遍的・定期的レビュー（UPR）作業部会対デンマーク王国審査における塩田崇弘公使参事官ステートメント（2026年5月7日）

  Thank you, Mr. Vice-President.

   Japan warmly welcomes the delegation of the Kingdom of Denmark to this session.
 
  Japan appreciates the efforts by Denmark to advance human rights, in particular through the enactment of the Elderly Care Act, which demonstrates a comprehensive and autonomous approach to the well-being of older persons. We also commend Denmark on its initiatives aimed at combating gender-based violence against women, including those to improve the safety of young women.

  In a spirit of constructive dialogue, Japan would like to make two recommendations:   

1. continue to take effective measures to eliminate violence and discrimination against persons with disabilities and promote their full social inclusion; and

 

2. intensify efforts to combat discrimination and prejudice against ethnic minorities and promote an inclusive society.

 We wish the delegation of Denmark every success in the review.
