Thank you, Mr. Vice-President.
Japan warmly welcomes the delegation of the Republic of Slovenia to this session.
Japan welcomes the positive steps taken by Slovenia since the previous review cycle, including the ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance in 2021.
In the spirit of constructive dialogue, Japan recommends that Slovenia:
Japan warmly welcomes the delegation of the Republic of Slovenia to this session.
Japan welcomes the positive steps taken by Slovenia since the previous review cycle, including the ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance in 2021.
In the spirit of constructive dialogue, Japan recommends that Slovenia:
- continue to take effective measures to improve access to health services and mainstream education, especially for women and girls with disabilities;
- make further efforts to combat all forms of gender-based violence against women and girls; and
- strengthen ongoing efforts to provide human rights education and training to law enforcement officials and other relevant professionals.
Japan wishes the delegation of Slovenia every success in this review.
