Thank you, Mr. Vice-President.
Japan welcomes the Kuwaiti delegation.
We acknowledge Kuwait’s advancements since the last UPR cycle, particularly in promoting women’s political participation and leadership, and in institutionalizing economic support for women. We also commend its progress in increasing protections and support for children, persons with disabilities, and migrants.
In light of these efforts, we recommend that Kuwait:
Japan welcomes the Kuwaiti delegation.

We also commend its progress in increasing protections and support for children, persons with disabilities, and migrants.
In light of these efforts, we recommend that Kuwait:
- advance measures to address violence against women and children, including ensuring support and means of protection, particularly in cases of domestic violence;
- promote initiatives aimed at further improving access to healthcare for persons with disabilities; and
- continue efforts to strengthen the implementation of relevant legislation and measures to protect the rights of migrants, including domestic workers.
