Japan’s participation in UN Geneva photo exhibition: “Not a Woman’s Job? — Women Leading Countries, Societies and Communities”

  On 30 June, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “Not a Woman’s Job? — Women Leading Countries, Societies and Communities” was held at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), with the participation of UNOG Director-General Tatiana Valovaya, Ambassador NAGAI Katsuro of the Permanent Mission of Japan, and other ambassadors from various permanent missions.
 The exhibition, hosted by UNOG, was held on the theme of women leading countries, societies, and communities. The Permanent Mission of Japan displayed photographs of Prime Minister TAKAICHI Sanae, the first female prime minister in Japan’s history, and Ms. NAKAMITSU Izumi, UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, who is recognized as a global leader in the field of international security.
