New Year’s Reception (30 January 2026)

A reception to celebrate the New Year was held at the Mission of Japan on 30 January. The reception was jointly hosted by the Permanent Mission of Japan to the International Organizations in Geneva, the Delegation of Japan to the Conference on Disarmament, and the Consulate of Japan in Geneva.
Approximately 130 guests from the Japanese community in Geneva attended the event. Following New Year’s addresses by Ambassador Oike, Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Geneva, and Ambassador Ichikawa, Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament, and a toast by Ambassador Nagai, Permanent Representative to WTO, WIPO, and UNCTAD, the guests enjoyed lively exchanges at the reception.
