Japan participants in UN Geneva photo exhibition: “Not a Woman’s Job? – Women Leading in Multilateralism and Diplomacy.” (24 June 2025)

  On June 24, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Not a Woman's Job? - Women Leading in Multilateralism and Diplomacy," featuring women who lead in Multilateralism and Diplomacy, was held at the UN Office at Geneva(UNOG).
  The event was attended by Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of UNOG, and Ambassador Oike Atsuyuki from our Mission, as well as ambassadors from various Missions.
   This exhibition was organized by UNOG, and our Mission displayed photograph of Ms. Toshiko Yamane, its first female diplomat, who paved the way for Japan’s UN membership and its return to the international community after WWII.
