Asian Ambassadors’ Wives Association Geneva (AAWAG) Asian Festival 2025 (11 June 2025)

2025/6/16
On 11 June, the Asian Ambassadors’ Wives Association Geneva (AAWAG) hosted a charity event—Asian Festival 2025—at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). On the day, AAWAG members and the Permanent Missions of 23 countries came together around the theme of “Jewels of Asia” to put on exhibitions including jewels, cultural performances, and a fashion show.

The Permanent Mission of Japan showcased Japanese culture through, among others, a matcha demonstration by Ambassador Oike’s wife, a display of an uchikake (an elaborate silk robe covered with embroidered flowers and cranes, worn over a kimono), and a selection of Japanese food and drinks.

The proceeds from this event will be donated through AAWAG to the Myanmar Red Cross Society in support of victims of the Myanmar earthquake that struck the country in March 2025.
