Participation of Japan in UN Geneva photo exhibition: “Not a Woman’s Job? – Changing Faces of Science and Tech” (2 July 2024)

  On July 2nd, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Not a Woman's Job? - Changing Faces of Science and Tech," featuring women who are active in the field of science and technology, was held at the UN Office at Geneva(UNOG).
  The event was attended by Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of UNOG, Thomas Lamanauskas, the Deputy Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Malika Meddahi, the Deputy Secretary-General of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and Ambassador HONSEI from our Mission, as well as ambassadors from various Missions.
  This exhibition, organized by UNOG with the collaboration of ITU and CERN, was held inside the UNOG building. Our Mission displayed photographs of three Japanese women who conduct research activities at CERN, the world's largest physics research institute.
