Session for participants in Sophia University’s Training Program on Geneva’s International Organizations (4 September 2023)

On 4 September, the Permanent Mission of japan in Geneva hosted a session for students of Tokyo's Sophia University participating in a training program on the international organizations in Geneva.
The training program has been running since 2018 under the leadership of Sophia University's Professor UEKI Yasuhito. As part of the program, students of the university have had the opportunity to visit Geneva and attend talks and tours at both the Mission and international organizations in the city.
This year, the training program was held in person for the first time in four years, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. A group of 26 students from both undergraduate and postgraduate courses attended the session hosted by the Mission, which focused on the position and role of the Mission, the practice of multilateral diplomacy, and employment in international organizations.
