The International Bazaar at the United Nations Office at Geneva is an annual event organized by the United Nations Women's Guild in Geneva, with the participation of some 70 Permanent Missions each year. On 20 November, the Permanent Mission of Japan again joined this year’s event and prepared a national booth and restaurant stall for the occasion.

The Japan stall provided visitors with a taste of Japanese culture by showcasing a variety of Japanese food and drinks. These included bento (Japanese-style boxed lunch), green tea flavored cookies, yuzu muffins, and “melon pan” bread, as well as bottles of sake (rice wine) and green tea.

There was a constant stream of visitors to the Japan stall and all of the items on offer were sold out before the bazaar came to a close.

The proceeds from the bazaar will be contributed through UNWG to projects supporting children in developing countries.
