Geneva Motorshow Reception (March 19, 2018)
On March 19, on the occasion of the 88th Geneva Motorshow, a reception to introduce Japanese cars and other Japanese products was held by Mr. Ryosuke Kuwana, Deputy Permanent Representative to the WTO on behalf of Ambassador Mr. Junichi Ihara, who was unable to attend due to a conflict with their schedules.
Over 100 guests, including ambassadors, diplomats and officials from international organizations participated in the event, which featured a display of 20 cars. The cars on show included a brand new model making its world premiere and many others with high-environmental performances, 18 of which were available for test drive. In addition, there were two Japanese non-automotive companies which presented their products on display. Furthermore, during the event, video presentation on the recovery and reconstruction situation in Fukushima and tourism in Japan were shown. The guests also enjoyed the food prepared by the Ambassador’s chefs. Many participants commented it was a good opportunity to discover Japanese products and were impressed by the quality of the items on display.
