National Dress Day at the UN Human Rights Council (March 03, 2017)

On 3 March, Ambassador Mitsuko Shino participated in the event of National Dress Day at the United Nations Human Rights Council. Each delegation attended the conference wearing their traditional clothes, and from the evening, provided their traditional foods and drinks.

The Japanese delegation also attended the conference wearing Kimono, Yukata and other traditional dress, and then, provided Sushi, Sake, and Hinaarare associated with Hinamatsuri festival. It was very popular, and long line had been made in front of the Japanese booth.
