第30回UPR（普遍的・定期的レビュー）対ロシア連邦審査　志野光子大使ステートメント（平成30年5月14日）

Thank you, Mr. President.

　Japan welcomes the various measures taken by the Russian Federation to support persons with disabilities.

　Japan also welcomes the Russian Federation’s measures in the field of protection of children, including its ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Conventions on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.

　Japan would like to make the following three recommendations.

　Japan recommends that the Russian Federation continue easing regulations on media coverage and Internet censorship, in order to secure and facilitate the exercise of the freedom of expression.

　Japan recommends that the Russian Federation continue to take measures to tackle corruption.

　Japan recommends that the Russian Federation, promptly ratify the International Convention for the Protection of all Persons from Enforced Disappearance.
