第30回UPR（普遍的・定期的レビュー）対ジブチ審査　中込正志公使ステートメント（平成30年5月10日）

Thank you, Mr. Vice President.

Japan warmly welcomes the delegation of Djibouti.

Japan welcomes Djibouti’s promotion of the rights of children through updating its National Strategic Action Plan for Children in 2017. Japan will continue to support Djibouti’s effort to improve the quality of education.

Japan would like to make three recommendations.

1. Continue to implement policies to promote women’s participation in society as prescribed in Djibouti’s National Gender Policy 2011-2021 and in the relevant law.

2. Ensure access for children to education and health care and steadily reintegrate children into society and the school system.

3. Ratify the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance as soon as possible.

We wish the delegation of Djibouti every success in the UPR.
